What do you find the hardest thing about being a mother?

Finding balance between motherhood and work. There have been moments of guilt because I want to be fully present as a mother while also continuing my career. Becoming a mother challenged my sense of independence in ways I never expected. These days, I've embraced life as both a mother and a freelancer, and with Axel attending daycare two days a week, we've found a rhythm that works for our family.

What are your go-to beauty products and favourite brands?

Subtle Energies has been part of my routine for years. Their facial oils, cleanser, serum, body oil and Rose Hydrosol Mist are staples, especially for my naturally dry skin. Throughout my pregnancy I used their pregnancy oils, and after Axel was born we shared beautiful moments using their Baby Massage Blend. I never leave home without my Rohr Remedy lip balm.

How do you stay healthy?

Since having Axel, finding time for exercise has been challenging. These days, staying active looks like walks along the Bondi to Bronte coastal path, afternoons at the park, bike rides as a family and the occasional game of tennis. I'd love to get back into paddleboarding too. I've learnt that movement is as important for my mind as it is for my body—and chasing after a toddler definitely counts as exercise.

How do you find time to rest and relax?

I love reading and listening to podcasts. Now that Axel is a little older and happy to play independently, I can enjoy a quiet moment alongside him—even if it usually comes with a few interruptions. I recently finished Dolly Parton's America, which I loved, and I'm always looking for my next great podcast.

Where are your favourite places to go in Sydney?

Anywhere outdoors. We spend weekends exploring beaches, parks and cafés, often hopping on our bikes with no real destination other than good coffee. One of our favourite discoveries has been Pochito, a local Chilean café with incredible empanadas.

What are your favourite things to do together?

Beach mornings, park visits and bike rides are our favourites. Most weekends, Axel and I head to the playground while Ed enjoys a sleep-in. We grab coffee, something fresh from the bakery and spend the morning outside. At home, I love watching Axel play in the garden with his splash pool, balls and chalk. The simplest moments are often the happiest.

Any travel tips with small children or a new baby?

We first flew with Axel when he was three months old, and timing flights around his naps worked well for us. My biggest advice is to accept help whenever it's offered, trust your instincts, and always pack spare clothes—for both your baby and yourself. And a baby carrier is absolutely essential.

Where is your favourite place to holiday with your family?

We haven't had a proper family holiday yet that wasn't built around a wedding, but we'd love to escape to Fiji or another island with friends who have children the same age.

What is your personal style signifier?

Oversized white shirts are definitely my weakness. I love relaxed, masculine-inspired pieces balanced with natural fabrics like linen. Scanlan Theodore and Assembly Label are two brands I return to again and again.
