Do you have a cherished piece of jewellery you own and why? A family heirloom, a wedding ring perhaps?

My necklace from my grandmother has lots of vintage charms, ones my dad used to wear. They're all from Italy and are very special and sentimental to me.

My Gucci handbag in Tokyo 

Your earliest make-up memory?

Watching films as a kid and seeing how makeup can change someone. From young to old and natural to glamorous. My grandmother used to work in a small cinema in a little town in Italy and we would go every year and I would get to watch all the films for free.

The beauty staple you're never without?

Concealers, they can hide so many things.

The last meal that truly impressed you?

The pasta at Hotel Mezzatorre in Ischia an Italian seaside retreat that's stylish and languidly glamorous. It's designed by the team behind the beloved II Pellicano.

If you could only take one beauty item to a deserted island, what would that be?

Sunscreen

Who are your beauty gurus for hair, manicure etc..?

Nerida Joy is my mentor and an inspiration to the beauty industry! Her knowledge of the skin is amazing. Lucia Pieroni as a makeup artist is so inspiring 

When you need to feel inspired, what do you do?

I like to watch movies, especially old or period films and TV shows. Watching travelling shows too and of course travelling is so inspiring 

If you weren’t doing what you do, what would you be?

A flight attendant
